The basics

What is Recal?

Recal is a property management command centre — a single platform where you run the full operation of your properties. Bookings, calendars, tasks, notes, damages, files, owner reports, staff coordination, and client communication, all in one place. Think of it as the operating system for your agency. Not a booking platform. Not a channel manager. The tool you use every single day to actually manage properties.

Is it a booking platform like Airbnb or Booking.com?

No. Recal is not a booking platform and does not list your properties publicly for tourists to find. It is a back-office operational tool for property managers and their teams. In markets like Ibiza, St Tropez, or Tuscany, deals happen through personal networks and trusted relationships — not algorithms. You bring your clients; Recal helps you manage everything that happens before, during, and after a booking.

Is it a channel manager?

No. Recal does not sync your listings to external booking platforms. It supports iCal import and export so you can avoid double bookings with external calendars, but it is not a distribution tool. Recal is for managing the properties you already have relationships with, not for broadcasting them to a wider market.

Who is Recal for?

Recal is built for property managers, villa managers, boutique rental agencies, and family offices managing luxury or premium properties — particularly in markets where discretion and personal service matter. It is especially well suited for managers handling a portfolio of high-value short-term rentals in places like Ibiza, St Tropez, Tuscany, or ski resorts, where operational complexity is high and relationships are everything.

How it compares

How is it different from what I'm using now?

Most property managers run their operations across five or six separate tools — WhatsApp for communication, Google Sheets for tracking, Dropbox for documents, a separate CRM for contacts, maybe a notes app for reminders. Nothing talks to anything else. Recal replaces all of that with one connected platform. Your calendar knows about your tasks. Your tasks know about your bookings. Your staff know what they need to do. Your owners can see their reports. Everything is in one place, and nothing falls through the gaps.

I already use a property management system. Why would I switch?

Most existing PMS tools were built for operators who rely on platforms like Airbnb — they are designed around channel management, automated pricing, and guest reviews. That model does not map to the way luxury villa managers work. Recal was built specifically for managers in relationship-driven, off-platform markets. It focuses on operations, team collaboration, owner communication, and property intelligence — the things that actually make your day harder or easier.

Recal is brand new — why should I trust it with my business?

Fair question. Recal is built by a small team that has operated villas in Ibiza, so the workflows in the product come from doing the job, not guessing at it. The platform is launching with paying customers from day one and is being shaped in close contact with managers in the market — early subscribers get direct access to the founders and a real say in the roadmap. Your data is yours, fully exportable (iCal, files, statistics), so there is no lock-in: if Recal does not earn its place in your operation, you can walk away with everything intact.

Pricing & trials

How much does it cost?

Recal has four plans: Starter (free), Host (€19/month), Manager (€49/month), and Business (€99/month). Host, Manager, and Business allow extra listings beyond the included quota at €5 per extra listing per month. The Manager plan also includes a 30-day free trial. Can I try it for free?

Yes — two ways. The Starter plan is permanently free, not a time-limited trial: one property, calendar access, and a shareable property link, with no credit card required. The Manager plan also includes a 30-day free trial, so you can run a full portfolio of up to 15 properties before committing to a subscription.

What happens if I want to cancel?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees and no minimum commitment. Your account moves to the free plan at the end of your billing period — you do not lose your data.

Your data & security

Is my data safe?

Yes. All files and documents are stored in a private cloud storage bucket — nothing is publicly accessible. Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito, an enterprise-grade identity system. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your client contacts, booking details, and property documents are yours. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties.

Who can see my properties and pricing?

You decide. Each property has four independent privacy controls: listing visibility, calendar, pricing, and location. You can make a property fully public, share only the calendar with clients, hide pricing from everyone, or keep the full listing private. Nothing is public by default. You turn on what you want to share, for each property, individually.

Can I export my data if I leave?

Yes. Your data belongs to you. You can export your calendars via iCal, download your files, and export your statistics at any time. A full account data export tool is in progress — get in touch if you need it before it ships.

Owners, guests & your team

Do my property owners need to create an account?

No. Owners who do not want an account can access their property reports via a private password-protected link you share with them — no sign-up required. They see their revenue, occupancy, bookings, and activity feed without needing to log into Recal. If an owner does want a full account, you can invite them directly and they get access to their own owner dashboard.

Do my guests need an account?

No. Guests never need to create an account. You can share a property's public listing link with a potential guest so they can view availability, pricing, and property details. All booking management happens on your side, inside Recal.

Can I add my team members?

Yes. You can invite staff and co-hosts to individual properties. Staff can be tagged on tasks, notes, damages, and events. Co-hosts have full edit access. Owners have their own dedicated view. The Manager plan includes 3 staff accounts; the Business plan has unlimited staff.

Getting set up

Can I import my existing bookings and calendars?

Yes. Recal supports iCal import, so you can bring in bookings from any system that exports a standard .ics file — including most property management tools, Google Calendar, and booking platforms. You can also add bookings manually in a few seconds directly on the property calendar.

How long does it take to set up?

Most managers have their first property fully set up within 10 minutes. The property creation wizard walks you through each step — address, rooms, amenities, pricing, privacy, staff, and photos. The AI description generator writes your listing text automatically from the details you enter. Getting to a working operational setup across a portfolio of five to ten properties typically takes one to two hours.

Is Recal available in Spanish?

Yes. Recal launches with full Spanish support — the entire app and onboarding are available in Spanish from day one. Recal is launching first in Ibiza, so Spanish is a first-class language, not an afterthought.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Recal works on mobile and can be added to your home screen on iOS and Android — it feels and behaves like a native app, with no app store download required. Just open recal.co in your browser, add it to your home screen, and you are ready to go.
