I self-manage one property. My cleaner and gardener have staff accounts which makes check-ins, check-outs and anything in-season a lot easier to keep on top of. I pull in all my agency calendars through iCal so everything stays in one place. For the bigger winter jobs I make a board for each one — helps me think through what needs doing, track the progress and keep it all separated.

Seeing how my manager runs everything through Recal gave me more confidence in them than any conversation could. They set me up with my own owner page — bookings, activity feed, revenue for the season — everything was there. I'm also quite hands-on having my own boards and lists on top of that was a nice bonus. It's not a view-only page.

No other agents in the middle, no gatekeeping. Just a straightforward conversation with the person who actually makes decisions.

Sharing a live property link with agents instead of a PDF— that alone is worth it. They check it whenever they need to know if the property is available and now the calls I get are about making bookings not availability.
